Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater head to New York City for some Christmas tree shopping: «They’re absolutely adorable.»
Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are gearing up for the holiday season in New York City.
Following the massive success of their movie Wicked, along with Moana 2 and Gladiator II, which contributed to the record-breaking Thanksgiving weekend box office, the couple spent some time Christmas tree shopping in the city.
A fan snapped a photo with them and posted it on Instagram on Saturday.
«They were both so sweet. I don’t remember much because I was too excited, but they were really kind as I showered them with love for about a minute,» wrote the fan, Erica Bouska, in response to a question about their interaction.
«They’re absolutely adorable and seemed to be enjoying a peaceful moment together after Wicked‘s success,» the fan added.
Wicked earned $114 million in its opening weekend after its release on November 22. Just 10 days into its run, the film has already become the seventh-highest-grossing movie of 2024 at the domestic box office, according to Box Office Mojo.
In the film, Slater plays Boq, one of Glinda’s classmates at Shiz University, portrayed by Grande. In an interview with GQ on October 30, Slater expressed his pride in Grande’s performance.
«She’s given everything to this role,» the Broadway actor shared, adding that he was «so excited to be part of this next chapter as the world gets to see what an incredible job she did.»
Grande also spoke highly of Slater at the film’s Los Angeles premiere on November 9, telling Entertainment Tonight, «He’s always so lovable, and he’s incredible in this movie—such an amazing person. I’m so glad people are getting to know him. My heart is full.»
