Ariana Grande Says Her ‘Heart Is Happy’ as the World Gets to Know Her Boyfriend Ethan Slater
At the ‘Wicked’ premiere in Los Angeles, the costar pair praised each other.
Ariana Grande is happy that more people are learning about her boyfriend, Ethan Slater.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on Saturday, November 9, at the Wicked press tour’s stop in Los Angeles, the 31-year-old pop artist expressed her enthusiasm for moviegoers to meet her 32-year-old fiancé.
The SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical alum is a wonderful gentleman, and he constantly helps her out on the red carpet, including holding the trains to her flowing dresses, Grande told the outlet in a joint interview with her costar Cynthia Erivo.
«That’s always it,» she remarked. He’s usually so cute, and he’s really great in this movie. He’s a very wonderful person, and I’m glad more people are getting to know him. My heart is overflowing.
ET also spoke with Slater about his experience working with Grande the same evening.
The actor, who plays Boq in the next movie, declared, «I am so proud of Ariana.» «I’m just thankful to be able to participate in the celebration of her amazing performance in this film.»
Slater talked candidly about the couple’s public connection in a recent interview with GQ, which was published on October 30.
She acknowledged that there was «something that was really difficult about things in your private life being commented on and looked at by the public.»
«Some of the hard parts that you’re talking about are the personal-life stuff that everybody in the world goes through,» he said.
«And so I am really focused on the real people in my life, who those things affect, and doing right by every real person and not the Twitter people who comment on it.»
After meeting on the set of Wicked, Grande and Slater’s romance was officially revealed in July 2023.
This followed Grande’s divorce from Dalton Gomez and Slater’s divorce from Lilly Jay, his ex-wife.
The picture, which was directed by Jon M. Chu, also stars Michelle Yeoh, Bowen Yang, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, and Peter Dinklage with Grande and Slater.
On November 22, the first half of Wicked will be released in theaters, and on November 26, 2025, the second part will follow.
