Asghari, Spears’ former boyfriend, shared the lessons he took away from their union
Sam Asghari considers his union with Britney Spears to be fortunate.
The upcoming Traitors star is thinking back on what he learnt from his marriage and why he’s so grateful for their time together, two months after formally divorcing the «Womanizer» singer.
Sam exclusively said, «You learn so much from being in relationships in general,» to Francesca Amiker of E! News. «I appreciate all the amazing experiences that I got.»
In addition, he believes that being in a committed relationship «grows you as a person,» adding that his relationship with Britney will always be «something that’s going to be a part of me.»
«I’m always going to celebrate the past,» he said, «and learn about the past and move on to the future.»
And Sam has nothing but praise for his former spouse.
«I hope the best for her,» he uttered. «She’s an amazing person and a huge part of my life, and I always appreciate the moments we had together.»
And how is his romantic life right now? With a jest, the 30-year-old said, «I’m dating my dog right now.»
He jokingly said, «She’s high maintenance.» «So my hands are full of my current partner, which is Porsche, my dog.»
Jokes aside, though, the fitness expert made it clear that he is prioritizing his recovery before entering into a new relationship.
«It’s going to take some time for me,» he said, «as it does with everyone that goes through a breakup.»
