At a gala concert, Emily Blunt wore a lace top with a large bow and sequined pants
Emily Blunt’s 2023 Met Gala ensemble is one that Miranda Priestly will undoubtedly appreciate! The Jungle Cruise actress wore Michael Kors at the celebration honoring Karl Lagerfeld’s life’s work.
Emily looked very Lagerfeld-inspired in a long-sleeved white lace shirt with a black tulle pussy bow and a white rose. Sequin, curve-hugging tuxedo pants with a skirt overlay and a waist-cinching cumberbund were worn with it.
The actress displayed her over 13 carat diamond and 12 pearl Piaget hanging earrings by wearing her hair up in a purposefully unkempt top knot.
Celebrity stylist Lani Reeves created Emily’s top knotted hairstyle with John Freida products. In order to complement Emily’s clothing and give her a gentle and romantic appearance, Lani chose an updo.
«I wanted to tie in Emily’s hair with her high lace neck and bow tie,» she said.
To achieve the stunning look, she utilized John Frieda’s Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray, Frizz Ease Extra Strength Serum, and Frizz Ease Secret Weapon Touch Up Creme.
She completed the look by spraying Emily’s hair with Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray from John Frieda.
Michael recounted his association with Lagerfeld to the Met Gala live stream hosts, stating, «Whenever I have a day where I think to myself I have too much to do today,
I always remember Karl, who was this machine of creativity, energy, humor, all of it together, and stay curious.»
Emily has consistently attended Met Galas over the years. She was sadly unable to attend the event in May owing to her filming commitments for the upcoming Christopher Nolan movie Oppenheimer,
but she did make an appearance at Part 1 of the Met Gala event in the fall of 2021, and her outfit earned her the title of «evening winner.»
The British model tried her best to give her outfit an All-American vibe, evoking Lady Liberty with a star-studded headpiece and jaw-dropping couture Miu Miu gown.
The legendary actress and star of the vintage fashion movie Ziegfeld Girl, Hedy Lamarr, served as the main inspiration for the full ensemble, which perfectly complemented the topic of «In America: An Anthology of Fashion.»
