Benny Blanco shared a heartfelt confession about fiancée Selena Gomez, saying, «I worship the ground she walks on»
Benny Blanco recently shared his thoughts on his relationship with fiancée Selena Gomez, opening up about how they complement each other.
In an exclusive Interview Magazine feature, the 36-year-old Grammy-nominated producer talked about the unique dynamic between him and Gomez, 32.
“I’m more of an introvert who can be extroverted when needed,” Blanco explained, while Gomez added, “It’s nice to have someone who balances that out and gets me out of the house.”
Their relationship works so well, he continued, because she calms him when he’s anxious, and he motivates her to step outside and experience life.
Blanco also shared the deep connection he feels, saying, “She’s the first person I’ve been with where I could just sit in bed with her for 72 hours and not feel like I missed anything.”
He described her as his «heroin and Xanax combined,» emphasizing how she knows exactly what to say when he’s feeling down.
The producer reflected on their journey, admitting, “I’m so pissed it took this long… It’s like, how did we not figure this out sooner?” Gomez, however, responded wisely, noting, «Timing is everything.»
Before becoming a couple, the two had worked together musically, with Blanco co-producing two tracks, «Kill Em with Kindness» and «Same Old Love,» on Gomez’s 2015 album *Revival*, and they later collaborated on the 2019 hit «I Can’t Get Enough.»
Blanco revealed how his perspective shifted before meeting Gomez: “I decided to stop everything and just focus on being with the right person.”
He continued, “Now I worship the ground she walks on, and I feel like she feels the same about me.” According to Blanco, there’s no ego in their relationship; they both support each other’s success.
Their love runs deep, with Blanco adding, “I wake up and think, ‘How can I make her life better?’” He expressed his affection in an emotional way, saying, “I just feel something for her that I can’t even explain.”
Gomez responded with a smile, calling his words «very romantic,» and playfully assured him that he’s «stuck» with her.
In exciting news, the couple announced the release of their first album together, *I Said I Love You First*, set to drop on March 21.
