Beyoncé Will Appear With Kamala Harris at Houston Rally

According to the Washington Post, on Friday, October 25, Beyoncé, Tina Knowles, and country music artist Willie Nelson will attend Harris’ rally in Texas.

According to a recent Washington Post article, Beyoncé is joining Kamala Harris on the campaign trail as the 2024 presidential contest draws to a close.

After months of speculation that she might officially comment on the Democratic nominee’s candidacy, the 43-year-old superstar is expected to join Harris, 60, in her hometown of Houston on Friday, October 25.

Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, and country music icon Willie Nelson will also attend the protest, according to the Post, which quotes sources involved with its preparation.

Whether the musicians will perform is still up in the air; just last week, Eminem welcomed former President Barack Obama at a Democratic event in Detroit, but he refrained from rapping.

Beyoncé had already supported Harris by allowing her songs to be used by Harris’ presidential campaign and by giving her and second gentleman Doug Emhoff seats to the 2023 Renaissance World Tour.

Beyoncé will make an appearance months after her song «Freedom» was included in Harris’ first campaign video in July.

Harris compares herself to former President Donald Trump in the video’s voiceover. In the advertisement, she states, «In this election, we each face a question,» «What kind of country do we want to live in?»

Some people believe that our nation ought to be in a state of turmoil. Out of terror. Of hatred,» Harris goes on. But us? We make a different decision. Freedom is what we choose.

Harris claims in the advertisement that «freedom» encompasses the capacity «not just to get by, but to get ahead.» the right to live without fear of gun violence. The autonomy to make choices regarding one’s own body.

«We choose for a world in which no kid experiences poverty. where health care is affordable for everyone. where everyone is subject to the law,» she claims.

«We are prepared to battle for America because we believe in its potential. Because we win when we fight. Join us, then.

Beyonce’s line, «I’ma keep running because a winner don’t quit on themselves,» concludes the commercial.
