Blake Lively Shares She Still Has Signed Poster of Baz Luhrmann on Her Wall, Honoring Him at LACMA Gala
«It’s still on my wall today,» the ‘It Ends With Us’ actress said on Instagram on Sunday, November 3.

Filmmaker Baz Luhrmann has long been a favorite of Blake Lively’s.
The Gossip Girl star, 37, honored her dear buddy Luhrmann, 62, on Sunday, Nov. 3, in an Instagram post. S
he said that she has kept a picture of him on her wall since she was a youngster, and it remains there.
Lively posted a rotating collection of pictures from the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, which featured the magnificent Tamara Ralph diamond chainmail minidress she wore with a billowing, tangerine-orange silk taffeta cape.

Luhrmann and artist Simone Leigh were recognized at the star-studded event.
«@bazluhrmann was the first & only signed poster I was ever lucky enough to have on my wall when I was a teenager,» the actress said as the description for the photo.
Even now, it remains on my wall. It will always feel unreal to know him.

Along with some further pictures of the Australian filmmaker standing in the dark by a lit-up palm tree, Lively also shared a shot of herself taking pictures of Luhrmann while she was barefoot in her minidress and wearing her cape.
Lively wrapped her arm around Luhrmann as they stood with their backs to the camera in one of the many pictures. They posed for a selfie as well.
In reference to their brief photo session, Lively wrote in her caption: «He’s even more amazing and naughty in real life.

He’s inspired by everything, and all he needs to see excitement is your cape and a palm tree, so he’ll take your hand and sprint away from the gala with you to conduct an impromptu photo session.»
«He’ll enthusiastically play along when you ask to put your cape on him so you can take pictures of him in a pose that he has subliminally trademarked in every girl who grew up in the 90s mind,» she said.
«Baz™️ is the match and the lighter fluid to it, in addition to being your inspiration, your creativity, your possibilities, and your unadulterated delight.
When you’re happy, he’s happiest. That holds true for friends, coworkers, and strangers alike,» the It Ends with Us star said.

Because that’s who he is, you can see it in his work. My buddy, congratulations on your @lacma awards! Of course, this also applies to @catherinemartindesigns.
Everything that Baz does and is is a part of his partner. Their skill, generosity, relevance, and effect are inseparable.
She remarked, «CM is one of one,» with a particular nod to Catherine Martin, Luhrmann’s wife and regular collaborator.
In the post, Lively also commended «extraordinary» artist Leigh and the crew behind her amazing appearance.

Lively’s tweet follows her appearance in a Luhrmann-directed cinematic editorial spread for the September 2024 issue of Vogue.
In the Hitchcock-inspired spread titled «The Heist of the Heart,» the mother of four played the role of «The Cat».
Hugh Jackman, a close friend of her husband Ryan Reynolds, costarred with her in L’Ombre.
