Brianna LaPaglia thanks Zach Bryan’s breakup for making her a Swiftie, saying she’s «grateful» to have discovered Taylor
Brianna LaPaglia revealed a Taylor Swift-inspired tattoo she got in Vancouver in December 2024.

In her Jan. 15 interview with *Sports Illustrated Swimsuit*, the 25-year-old creator opened up about becoming a Swiftie after her breakup with Zach Bryan in October 2024.
LaPaglia shared how the 35-year-old «Fortnight» singer’s music became a means of expressing her own emotions as she healed from the end of her relationship with the 28-year-old country singer.
«Now I’m not just listening to pop music, I’m listening to someone who’s been through exactly what I have, and they put it into words I could never express myself,» she said.

«I can listen and think, ‘How does she have a song for everything?’ There’s a song, an era, a piece of Taylor Swift’s music for everything I’m experiencing.»
While acknowledging that it’s unfortunate it took her breakup to become a Swiftie, LaPaglia expressed gratitude for discovering Taylor’s music during such a pivotal time in her life.
LaPaglia and Bryan had been together for a little over a year after meeting in May 2023. Their breakup was confirmed by Bryan in October 2024, prompting LaPaglia to briefly step away from the internet.

She later shared her experience with emotional abuse from the relationship in November.
During their time together, Bryan made a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter) referencing Swift’s feud with Kanye West on Sept. 17, 2024, followed by an apology on Instagram on Sept. 20, where he clarified, “I wasn’t coming for Taylor the other night” and “I love Taylor’s music.”
LaPaglia had seemingly supported Bryan, sharing a selfie in a red “Make America Sexy Again” hat with the caption, “I think I like red.”

After the breakup, LaPaglia fully embraced Swift’s music and even posted a TikTok about relating to the song «The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,» humorously adding, «It took a scumbag to make me a Taylor Swift fan.»
She solidified her Swiftie status by getting lyrics from Swift’s «I Hate it Here» tattooed on her arm in December, a tribute to the song that helped her remove toxic people from her life.
