The 43-year-old star, who celebrated her birthday on Monday, posted a series of unsettling videos where she addressed the paparazzi. In the clips, she accused them of making her appear as though she was wearing a mask while holding a torch.
In the first video, she says, «I think my friend accidentally gave that to me, I don’t know.» She then went on to mention her birthday, mistakenly saying she had turned 42, despite actually being 43 now.
In the video, Britney Spears mentioned that she feels like she’s only five years old and going to kindergarten, adding that the media has always been «incredibly cruel» to her.
While acknowledging she’s «not perfect,» she emphasized that it doesn’t justify the cruelty she’s faced. She concluded by saying, «And that’s why I’m moving to Mexico.»
This video comes over a year after her divorce from Sam Asghari in August 2023, following 14 months of marriage. They had been together for almost six years, after meeting in 2016.
Asghari cited «irreconcilable differences» as the reason for the split, with reports stating that the divorce was amicable and the prenup was not challenged. Despite rumors of financial issues, sources confirmed that Britney is not in distress and has moved on with her life.
Despite initial chaos and press back-and-forth, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari seem to have reconciled and appreciate their past love.
In her memoir, Britney praised Sam for his stability and lack of drinking, calling him «a gift from God» and expressing excitement about having a child together.
She also mentioned that the end of her conservatorship was perfect timing for their relationship, allowing them to marry and build a new life without limitations.
Upon hearing her words, Sam expressed pride in her, saying, «That made me smile, to be honest. I’m freakin’ proud of her, and I hope she takes over the world.»
