Cher is going on a book tour!

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the iconic musician, 78, announced a book tour for her upcoming biography, Cher: The biography, Part 1, which will be released on November 19.

The tour will begin on November 20 in New York City, with stops in Englewood, New Jersey; London; Beverly Hills, California; and San Francisco. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on October 10 at 12 p.m. ET.

Cher released her two-part memoir in July, with the synopsis teasing that the first installment will follow «her extraordinary beginnings through childhood to meeting and marrying Sonny Bono — and reveals the highly complicated relationship that made them world-famous, but eventually drove them apart.»

The book is expected to highlight the singer-songwriter’s «trademark honesty and humor» and detail «how this diamond in the rough succeeded with no plan and little confidence to become the trailblazing superstar the world has been unable to ignore for more than half a century,» according to a synopsis.

During a November 2023 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the «Believe» singer teased her book, stating that the writing process was not going well.

«I just totally chickened out,» the singer admits. «I forgot to include certain information that was required. And they’re uncomfortable, but they have to be installed, so I have to go back and man up.

Cher admitted at the time that her tell-all needed to go further into her life story.

«I’ve lived too long and done too much and so it’s like it should be the encyclopedia,» Cher told me.

And, as the synopsis for Part I states, «It is a life too immense for only one book,» a sequel will be released in 2025.

Last October, the singer gave an exclusive interview to PEOPLE about her first holiday album, Christmas. «I wanted to make a Cher Christmas album but I didn’t know how to do it,» she informed me. «I could never find out a solution.

This year, I requested the record company to let me do it and hand them the finished album. They agreed, so I began picking songs.»

She went on, «We did them one at a time, and I realized I have a wonderful Christmas album with only a few sad songs. I was delighted that it was eclectic, and it certainly is. I was proud of myself.

Cher: The Memoir, Part I will be released on November 19 and is already available for preorder at bookstores and online.
