Daniel Stern revealed that he and his «Home Alone» co-star, Joe Pesci, catch up once a year, maintaining their strong friendship over the years
Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci have maintained a close friendship for decades, despite the time that has passed since their iconic roles in *Home Alone*.
In an exclusive interview Stern, 67, shared that he and Pesci, 81, still manage to connect every year.
«I see him once a year,» Stern says of his *Home Alone* co-star, who portrayed the criminal Harry in both the 1990 classic and its 1992 sequel, *Home Alone 2: Lost in New York*.
«I love seeing Joe. He’s a dear friend,» Stern continues. The two actors actually met long before *Home Alone* while working on the 1982 film *I’m Dancing as Fast as I Can*.
Although their roles as mental institution patients were eventually cut from the movie, Stern considers their collaboration a «blessing» and has remained supportive of Pesci throughout the years, especially when it comes to his musical endeavors.
Stern is full of praise for Pesci’s musical talent, saying, «If you really want to know who he is, listen to his music. He’s the most brilliant jazz singer.
He has this beautiful tenor voice that moves me to tears, especially when he sings Sinatra songs.»
Daniel Stern now resides on a ranch in California, a property he bought using the savings from his Hollywood career. There, he grows tangerines and creates art that he views as an «extension of the human condition.»
Stern notes that his choice of lifestyle mirrors that of his *Home Alone* co-star, Joe Pesci, who has also opted for a life away from the public eye. «He’s a reclusive soul himself,» Stern explains, adding that Pesci «lives back in Jersey half the time.»
