In response to Taylor Swift’s article, Blake Lively discloses the name of her godmother
UPDATE, July 26, Friday: Following Taylor Swift’s post endorsing Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine, which opens this Friday, July 26, Blake Lively has nothing to say to her.
Swift complimented her closest friend and her kids’ godmother for «honoring my guy(s)» on Instagram Stories,
after Lively shared a sincere remark with a humorous twist on watching Reynolds’ hard work pay off for his and Hugh Jackman’s new flick.
On Thursday, July 25, she remarked, «I couldn’t have said it better myself,» over a repost of Swift’s original Instagram Story.
«Considering that I have 14 fewer Grammy Awards and have not had a single stadium world tour sold out, this is not surprising.»
Swift gave a testimonial in her first post, informing everyone that Deadpool & Wolverine opens in cinemas on Friday and providing a link for those who «like things that are unspeakably awesome» to purchase tickets.
However, the majority of people couldn’t get over her subtly referring to the Free Guy star as «my godkids’ sperm donor.»
It was previously unknown that Swift had an official role as the godparent of her well-known friends’ four children: Olin, born in 2023, James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4.
Swift shouted out to her godkids at her Eras Tour event in Madrid, and Reynolds recently joked with E! News about being their babysitter—albeit an expensive one.
On May 29, she said to Blake and her children, «I have to say that some of my favorite characters on folklore are named James, Inez, and Betty.»
After keeping the child’s name a mystery for a while, Reynolds also disclosed the name of his and Lively’s fourth child on Monday during his remarks at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere at the Lincoln Center in New York City.
Reynolds joked that they were holding off on telling the public the news until Swift «told us what the child’s name will be» before making the big reveal.
In a May Today interview, Reynolds said to Savannah Guthrie, «We always wait for Taylor.» We’re still waiting, so Taylor, let’s perhaps get started on that, you know.
She writes a lot of books. Really, what are we doing in this place? Additionally, I wouldn’t characterize Taylor as lazy.
