«It was the best thing I think I’ve ever done» Jennifer Lopez on spending summer with her kids

In order to spend «time off» with her 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, the actress and singer had earlier postponed her summer tour.

Jennifer Lopez remembers her summer with her kids in a positive light.

In a recent interview of The Graham Norton Show, which aired on Friday, November 8, the 55-year-old star of Unstoppable said that spending the summer with her kids, following the cancellation of her This Is Me… Live tour in May, was «the best thing I think I’ve ever done.»

Originally scheduled to run from June to August in support of her most recent studio album, This Is Me…

Now, Lopez had announced in a statement on her OntheJLo website in May that she had decided to take some «time off to be with her children, family, and close friends» and had canceled the run of shows.

Max and Emme, Lopez’s 16-year-old twins, are her children with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

«I decided to take this summer off and be home with the kids and it was the best thing I think I’ve ever done,» Lopez stated in response to presenter Graham Norton, 61, on the show regarding the cancellation of the tour.

Regarding her summer vacation, she continued, «It’s not like me to do that.»

«When it comes up, I like to apologize to the fans because I know a lot of them were coming out,» she continued, alluding to the tour’s cancellation.

After that, Lopez related a recent encounter with admirers in the United Kingdom who informed her that they had made plans to visit her on tour.

Her words, «This was actually very touching,» «They said, ‘I had tickets to go see you!'» as they left the hotel yesterday.

And I said, ‘I’m very sorry.’ ‘Don’t apologize, we love you,’ he said. I immediately broke down in tears.

That identical admirer, it turned out, was in the front row at The Graham Norton Show. He yelled that he had been the one who had talked to her the day before, and the two hugged on stage.

«I sobbed as soon as I got in the car. Since I had never canceled before, I must admit that it was really difficult for me. She apologized to him.

After the fan informed Lopez that her followers understood, Lopez said, «Okay, good,» and then, as she sat down again, «I love my fans, oh my God.»

The singer and actress, who canceled her tour due to rumors that she and her ex-boyfriend Ben Affleck were no longer together before she filed for divorce in August, spent a lot of time with her children throughout the summer.

Among their activities, Lopez was seen riding a bike with Max, joined him for a birthday lunch in the Hamptons in July, and posted a few pictures of her children on social media, one of which seemed to be from a vacation to Paris in May.

When Lopez attended the Toronto International Film Festival in September to promote her most recent film, Unstoppable, she said at the sports biopic’s premiere that the reaction had been «really great.»
