Jamie Lee Curtis became emotional on *The Tonight Show*, describing the «horrific» Los Angeles fires and saying, «This is literally where I live.»

Jamie Lee Curtis was visibly shaken as she spoke about the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles during her appearance on *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon* on Wednesday, January 8.

The 66-year-old actress and producer became emotional while discussing the devastation in her neighborhood, particularly in the Pacific Palisades area, which she described as «literally on fire.»

Curtis struggled to hold back tears as she told Fallon, “I’m literally just about to cry.”

She explained that she had been receiving alarming text messages while on a plane to New York City for the show. «It’s [bleep] gnarly, you guys,» she said, visibly distressed. “It’s just a catastrophe in Southern California.”

She shared that her local market, friends’ homes, and several schools had been destroyed by the flames.

«This is literally where I live,» she added, urging the audience to support relief efforts. «Do anything you can… Whether you need it or not now, you will need it. Give blood, donate, whatever you can do.”

Curtis reassured fans earlier that day, sharing a photo of the fires on Instagram and confirming that while her community and possibly her home were at risk, her family was safe.

She also expressed sympathy for the many people who had lost their homes, including some of her friends.

Curtis, who shares daughters Ruby, 25, and Annie, 34, with her husband, screenwriter Christopher Guest, planned to return to Los Angeles the following day to be with her family and help her friends.

Many other celebrities, such as Anna Faris, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, and Paris Hilton, have also been affected by the fires.
