Jennifer Lopez Secretly Brought Her Kid Emme to the ‘Wicked’ Premiere
The actress wore a dazzling halter dress from the Zuhair Murad Couture Spring 2024 line to the occasion.
At the Wicked premiere in Los Angeles, Jennifer Lopez had a very special guest!
In an Instagram Stories post on Monday, November 11, the 55-year-old multihyphenate disclosed that her 16-year-old daughter Emme accompanied her to the star-studded musical premiere, even though she walked the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion red carpet on her own on Saturday, November 9.
The Unstoppable star shared a photo of herself and her adolescent, who was wearing a dark-colored pair of leggings and a multicolored shirt, beaming broadly.
Lopez posted a picture of Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande performing «Defying Gravity» on an instrumental along with the words «Wicked!!» Awestruck by it 💚🧙♀️🧚🩷.
The emojis stood for Grande’s Glinda and Erivo’s Elphaba, respectively.
Lopez, who is also the mother to 16-year-old Max, wore a shimmering halter dress from the Zuhair Murad Couture Spring 2024 collection with side cutouts and gemstone embellishments to the premiere. Emme wore a gold collared shirt to match.
The mother of two shared a video of herself strolling the red carpet in the sultry, bare back look on Instagram in a different post.
She tagged actors Kirsten Chenoweth and Idina Menzel from the original Broadway play as well as some of the movie’s stars.
Given that Lopez stated earlier in November that she is looking forward to spending time with her loved ones during the holidays following a «pretty intense year» that included her filing for divorce from Ben Affleck in August, it is not surprising that she attended the premiere with Emme.
For two years, Lopez and Affleck were wed.
«I’m most looking forward to spending time with my kids and my family coming out from the East Coast because it was a pretty intense year for me.»
«Since I was a young child, the holidays have always been a really memorable time for us,» she said.
The holidays are a time for Lopez to «slow down» and «enjoy» spending time with her sisters.
«And I really look forward to those moments when I can be with my sisters and just relax and have fun and create new memories,» she added.
Since we don’t get to see one another during the year, we sort of catch up on one other’s lives and activities. It’s simply a lovely moment. I love it,» she remarked.
Wicked will be available in two installments: Wicked: Nov. 22 is when Part One opens in cinemas. November 2025 is the scheduled date for Part Two.
