Kate Middleton and Family Went on Ski Vacation Before Cancer Remission Announcement: Report

The Princess of Wales took a ski trip to the Alps after celebrating Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham, as reported.

Before announcing her cancer remission earlier this month, Kate Middleton and her family enjoyed a holiday getaway in the mountains.

On Jan. 19, *The Mail on Sunday* reported that Kate, 43, spent several days with Prince William, their three children, and members of the Middleton family after their festive time at Sandringham.

The royal family had gathered at the Norfolk estate for Christmas, participating in the traditional walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church on Christmas Day.

According to a source who saw Kate during the ski vacation, her younger brother James Middleton was also present, and the family appeared “really happy.”

The source added, “Kate looked like she was having a lovely time.” James, 37, posted photos from the trip with his wife Alizee and their 1-year-old son Inigo.

Reflecting on his past struggles with depression, he shared that while he still experiences “a different type of January blues,” he was enjoying “blue skies and cold, crisp air” in the mountains.

Kate celebrated her 43rd birthday at Adelaide Cottage on Jan. 9, and her children returned to school on Jan. 8, suggesting the ski trip took place between Christmas and the beginning of January.

Just days after her birthday, on Jan. 14, Kate made a surprise royal visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she had been treated for cancer.

In an Instagram post that day, she shared the news of her cancer remission, writing, “It is a relief to now be in remission. And I remain focused on recovery.

As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal.” She expressed gratitude for the support she had received, adding, “I am looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead.”
