Kate Middleton radiates tranquility in a new birthday photo as Prince William expresses his love, saying, “We love you.”
Prince William is honoring his deep affection and admiration for Kate Middleton as she celebrates her 43rd birthday.
In a message shared on their social media, William, 42, paid tribute to Kate after a challenging year that included a major surgery, a cancer diagnosis, and the rigorous journey of chemotherapy.
“To the most extraordinary wife and mother,” he wrote on January 9. “The strength you’ve shown over the past year has been nothing short of remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis, and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine.”
He ended the message with, “We love you. W.”
The heartfelt note was accompanied by a beautiful, previously unseen portrait of Kate, taken by photographer Matt Porteous in Windsor last summer.
The couple rarely posts personal messages on their social media, making this public display of William’s love and support for his wife, who has faced numerous challenges, particularly significant.
Kate is celebrating her birthday at home in Adelaide Cottage, Windsor, with Prince William and their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis. Her last public appearance was on Christmas Day during the royal family’s church walk at Sandringham.
In March 2024, Kate revealed she was undergoing cancer treatment and announced in September that she had completed chemotherapy.
At the *Together at Christmas* carol service, she reflected on her challenging year, saying, “I didn’t know this year was going to be the year that I’ve just had.”
Since then, Kate has focused on her recovery, attending Remembrance weekend in November.
Robert Hardman, author of *The Making of a King*, noted that Kate is still healing and following a “one day at a time” approach to recovery.
In her September video message, Kate emphasized staying cancer-free and taking each day as it comes. A source close to her shared that she’s been recovering at her own pace, which has been beneficial for her.
