Kelly Ripa jokes her slim Christmas tree is on «Treezempic» after the first one was too big for her home
Kelly Ripa shared a comical holiday mishap while unveiling her Christmas tree on Live with Kelly and Mark alongside her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos
On the Dec. 9 episode, the 54-year-old host revealed the unexpected challenges of setting up her holiday centerpiece this year.
«We actually had two trees,» she explained. «The first one arrived and was way too big for our house. Christmas trees are a big deal to me—I look forward to it every year.
But when they unwrapped this one, it was like a scene straight out of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. It was massive, like a blooming onion!»
Ripa described the first tree as “a giant,” noting it stood three feet taller than their ceiling allowed and was so wide that «the entire room basically became the tree.»
Kelly Ripa playfully called her smaller Christmas tree “Treezempic” or “Pinejaro,” joking about its slim shape and fragile branches on Live with Kelly and Mark.
Despite the challenges, she and Mark Consuelos appreciated the extra space it provided, even decorating the back for the first time.
Ripa shared the tree on Instagram, captioning it, “Behold the lady 🎄 even the trees are skinny this year #treezempic.”
The slim design contrasts with last year’s massive tree, continuing their tradition of decorating with their 33-year-old ornament collection alongside their three children.
Kelly Ripa revealed her festive snowman decoration outside her under-construction NYC home, joking it’s now a pee spot for neighborhood dogs. Despite Mark Consuelos opposing the idea, she laughed, “We compromised—and the dogs love it!”
