Khloé Kardashian explains why she wanted Tristan Thompson at True’s birth, despite learning of his cheating scandal just two days earlier
Khloé Kardashian revealed why she allowed her ex, Tristan Thompson, to be present in the delivery room when she gave birth to their daughter, True, despite learning of his cheating scandal just 48 hours earlier.
On the January 29 episode of her podcast *Khloé in Wonder Land*, Khloé, 40, discussed her decision with guest Mel Robbins.
She explained that while facing the aftermath of the cheating scandal, she relied on her experiences from her first marriage to Lamar Odom for guidance.
«I knew how to handle media scandals, and I was in Cleveland when I gave birth, so I decided to stay there and avoid the chaos of L.A.,» she shared.
«I created a cocoon for my baby and focused on being with her, isolating myself from everything else.»
Khloé emphasized that, despite the turmoil, her main priority was her daughter, True. She recalled the moment when people began asking whether she wanted Tristan in the delivery room, just days after his affair was exposed.
«I said yes,» Khloé explained. «I wanted my daughter to see that her dad was there. I thought about her memories, and I wanted to protect her from the drama.»
Khloé admitted that, during the birth, she was emotionally detached, operating on autopilot to focus on what was best for True.
«It was for her,» she said, noting that once the moment passed, she had no desire to engage with Tristan, but she made sure to do what she felt was right for her daughter’s future.
Khloé and Tristan are also parents to 2-year-old son, Tatum.
