‘Kim Was Really Nice’ Blanchard tells that She’d ‘Never seen The Kardashians Before Appearing on the Show
According to Blanchard, «The producer got a big kick out of the fact that I had never watched the show before,» during the most recent «The Viall Files» podcast episode.
Prior to her participation on the show earlier this year, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard was not among the millions of watchers of the Kardashians.
Speaking on Wednesday, October 16, the most recent edition of The Bachelor star Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files, Blanchard, 33, recounted meeting with Kim Kardashian, 43, one-on-one to discuss, ideally, being engaged in jail reform.
The incident occurred during the July 11 episode of the popular Hulu series.
«It was thrilling. Kim was very kind. To be honest, I’ve never seen The Kardashians. The fact that I had never seen the program before made the producer quite happy before it started,» Blanchard acknowledged.
Blanchard chuckled when asked if she had watched the show subsequently, responding, «My episode.»
Blanchard said that although she was «familiar» with the Kardashians, she knew nothing about the family, but she did know that «Kim was very influential.»
«I was aware of her ownership of The Kardashians. She’s got SKIMS. Blanchard, who is expecting her first child with fiance Ken Urker, said, «I knew she was very into prison reform.»
Regarding the well-known family, who together have hundreds of millions of social media followers, she made a joke, saying, «I replied, ‘She [Kim] has sisters. Correct? Yes. She is the mother of two sisters. That’s the extent of my knowledge of Kim.
In response to a query about whether she and Kim had been in contact following the show, in which they talked about Blanchard’s imprisonment, she said, «I’ve kept in touch with her producer.»
Kim appreciated our selfies that I shared on social media after we took them. I’ve sent her a few direct messages on Instagram. As a result, we haven’t had much communication.
However, I am aware that line is always open,» Blanchard remarked.
Kim recognized in the program that Blanchard might «make a big difference» in prison reform because she can «really articulate what you went through and how you can get through it.»
Kim has long chronicled her path to becoming a lawyer.
Blanchard said on the show, «I think a lot of people are afraid of touching me as a topic, because I’m too controversial,» and he gave Kim «massive kudos» for working with her.
As a victim of Munchausen by proxy, the soon-to-be mother was freed from prison in December 2023, having completed eight of her ten-year sentence for plotting her mother’s murder with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas «Nick» Godejohn.
Clauddine «Dee Dee» Blanchard, Blanchard’s mother, convinced her daughter she had a slew of ailments and put her through years of needless medical treatments.
On June 9, 2015, Godejohn, who was convicted of first-degree murder in 2018, fatally stabbed Dee Dee in her Springfield, Missouri, home.
