Kris Jenner uses a flashback photo to commemorate her late sister Karen’s birthday eight months after her passing
Eight months after her death, Kris Jenner honored her late sister Karen’s 66th birthday with a heartfelt message and a throwback photo.
A picture of a young Karen with their mother Mary Jo «MJ» Campbell was posted by the 69-year-old actress of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
«To my lovely sister Karen, happy birthday from heaven.» Such a nice personality and sweet attitude. «You have a very special place in my heart, and I miss and love you very much,» her caption said.
Even though the two Houghton sisters’ lives took quite different turns and occasionally caused their relationship to fall apart, there is a noticeable familial resemblance between them.
Karen was Kris’ only sister. The two of them grew up in San Diego, mostly under the influence of their 90-year-old mother, MJ, who had divorced from their father, Robert Houghton.
Karen passed away in March, and it was determined that abrupt cardiac arrhythmia and cardiac arrest were the causes of her death.
«It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly,» Kris said on Instagram, where she posted pictures of her beloved sister.
I pray that God leads us all through this trying time, and my heart hurts for my mom MJ and my niece Natalie.
Karen’s death serves as a reminder that life is fleeting and valuable, and that you can never predict the future. We have to express our affection to the people we care about. My lovely sister, you have my undying affection.
When Karen, a part-time nurse, opened up about Kim Kardashian’s 2013 baby shower and even performed a jig for waiting media, she became regarded as the family’s black sheep.
Karen said in 2013 that Kris had spent a staggering $1 million on plastic surgery because she was self-conscious about her weight as a child.
«At the age of 15, she started to worry about her appearance because she was overweight as a child,» Karen told In Touch magazine.
«The entire world is aware that Kris is conceited,» she said.
