Latto is going to eBay with her «Big Energy.» Having posted a pair of her used cheetah print panties for sale on eBay, where the price reached $95,650 before the listing was removed by the site, the 24-year-old rapper has turned an insult about her underwear into a potentially profitable side career.
An internet troll’s criticism that she appeared to be wearing the same underwear twice caused a stir. You did read that right. The tweet gained a lot of attention, especially after Latto replied. On January 29, she wrote, «Oh no, it’s the panty police,» alongside the insult. But she didn’t stop there. Following the «panty disparity,» as she put it, Latto jumped onto her Instagram Story to give viewers a peek into her underwear drawer. The video is displayed above.
After addressing her audience, she pointed the camera at a dresser drawer that had many other pairs of the same cheetah-print pants in addition to five clean pairs from the beginning of the play.
Latto stated that Target sells them for $5. Additionally, she asserted that she had «a whole separate drawer for all things Savage X Fenty by Rihanna. She concluded the video by teasing supporters that they would see her in «maybe another day.»
Latto brought up the topic once more when she posted a picture of the five cheetah-print underwear to her Story and said she would «wear a pair today and sell em tomorrow,» as seen in the picture above. She didn’t let me down.
The «I Just Called» singer provided a link to her sale the following day, which displayed a 99-cent offering with free shipping. She captioned the tweet with a crying emoji and said, «Auction live on eBay since I can’t wear them twice.»
On Tuesday, January 31, eBay withdrew the listing for the over $100,000 pair of worn underwear because it was in violation of the site’s Terms of Service, which forbid the sale of used socks and underwear.
The popular rapper hasn’t specifically addressed her cancelled listing, but she made light of the situation on her Instagram Story by posting a meme of a young child resting on her father’s knee and wondering why her mother no longer resides with them. His reply stated,
«BECAUSE I SPENT $95,650 BUYING LATTOS PANTIES.» The father’s youngster hailed him a «legend» for doing so as he was playing on the ground. Additionally, Latto updated her profile photo to a picture of the well-known pants with emoji lips and eyes.
