Minnie Driver posts rare selfies without makeup and explains why she’s choosing to pose «completely bare-faced»
Minnie Driver got candid about her recent makeup-free selfies, admitting she’s “pretty vain” in an Instagram post on Friday, Nov. 29
The 54-year-old The Serpent Queen star shared a couple of bare-faced snaps and explained why it’s rare for her to go “without a scrap of makeup.”
“Alright, I’ll admit it – I’m pretty vain, so posting unretouched, makeup-free pictures is unusual for me,” Driver wrote in her post.
She went on to say, “The only reason I’m doing it now is because I’ve been feeling unwell and really noticing my age lately. I’m amazed that my friend Keren can make me look like this – a Christmas glow without the five mulled wines.”
Driver also expressed gratitude for the skincare treatment, adding, “Love you, Keren,” referring to her friend Keren Bartov, a facialist known for working with celebrities like Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, and Paris Hilton.
In the comments, Minnie Driver’s followers praised her for sharing makeup-free photos. One person wrote, «Normalize this. I admire this,» while others called her a «natural beauty.»
Rachel Zegler also commented, calling Driver a «beauty queen.»
Driver has always been open about the challenges women face in Hollywood. In July, she discussed how opportunities for women have evolved, especially over 40.
She noted that women are no longer defined by their sexuality and now have roles that showcase the «extraordinary expansiveness» of aging, as well as motherhood or the choice to remain childless.
