On the morning of Friday, Dec. 6, Paris, the singer and daughter of Michael Jackson, shared the joyful news on Instagram to celebrate music producer and engineer Justin Long’s birthday.
One of the images featured Justin, who Paris lovingly calls «Blue,» down on one knee in a lavish room, holding an engagement ring box.
Jackson, 26, expressed her love for Long in the caption, saying, «I couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect.»
She wrote, «Happy birthday my sweet blue. Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind, and I couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect to do it all with. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.»
She also shared moments from the proposal on her Instagram Stories, including a close-up of Long placing the ring on her finger and a photo of them embracing after the proposal.
Jackson began dating Long in 2022, and her birthday post included photos of their time together, including a kiss in a photo booth and costume memories.
Jackson wore denim shorts, a sweater, sheer tights, and knee-high boots, while Long donned a white shirt and black pants.
Long hasn’t posted about Jackson on his Instagram grid since their collaboration at the 2023 Bottlerock Napa Valley festival, where he shared a photo with the caption, «@parisjackson at Bottlerock with #glennmatthews @antsalazar @swinghero @adamgguitar.»
Jackson previously dated her bandmate Gabriel Glenn for over two years before they split in August 2020.
In a 2021 interview with Willow Smith on Red Table Talk, Jackson revealed her music was inspired by «heartbreak,» describing it as the most intense love and betrayal she had experienced.
On marriage, Jackson said, «I’m not against it, but right now my main focus is spirituality and music,» adding that having children is a «maybe.»
She also openly discussed her sexuality, stating, «I thought I’d end up marrying a chick» and identifying as gay, though not strictly bisexual. She emphasized that attraction is about a person’s qualities, not their gender.
