Priyanka Chopra about What Gives Her Confidence Today and on the ‘Y2K Girl’ Style Habit She Had to Break (Exclusive)
Priyanka Chopra, an actress Together with Marshalls, Jonas discussed aspirations, insecurities, and (of course) fashion.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas believes that developing confidence is a talent that has to be practiced, and she is excited to do so with other women.
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd on October 5 at Marshalls’ Good Stuff Social Club event in Chicago, Chopra discussed her choice to work with Marshalls’ first accelerator program as well as some of the events that helped her form her sense of self.
Hundreds of women from Chicago and surrounding areas attended the third social club event, which included interactive panels on financial wellness, happiness, and other topics, along with networking opportunities and a color analysis station.
The show also highlighted the forthcoming accelerator, where 40 women will be chosen to participate for a full year and be awarded a $5,000 stipend, as well as peer coaching and guided mentorship.
Chopra told, «A lot of brands talk the talk, but this is actually walking the walk.» «I realized how much these women benefited from having a real, tangible space when I was sitting on stage and saw their faces, and then when they were networking.»
Whether the talk is about huge dreams or imposter syndrome, it’s crucial for the actress and entrepreneur.
«I want to talk about the fears and insecurities because they are real,» Chopra stated.
«I would want to discuss how you might reclaim or acquire the confidence you need to move forward, acting on your goals and [turning] them into reality. Putting your goals out there might be intimidating, so I want to go over several strategies and resources for you to consider. I completed it for myself.
Finding her best self for Chopra, who balances her job and motherhood (she and her husband, Nick Jonas, have a daughter named Malti), comes from being organized, which includes knowing who her coworkers are on set and what has to be done when she gets there.
Additionally, she tells herself, «Thoughts are not facts,» if she’s not feeling her best.
Of course, an actor’s existence also includes a style component and a Marshalls collaboration. Chopra claimed that developing her particular style required a great deal of self-reflection and an internal fashion compass, asking herself questions like «Who am I going to be today?» «What’s my mood today?» together with «What do I want to convey?»
