Revealed: Meghan and Harry’s actress friend, who left her career, is Archewell’s top earner, making almost $300K
The highest earner at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s charity, Archewell, has been identified as Shauna Nep, a former actress who left her career to mingle with celebrities in California.

At 38, Nep, originally from Canada, starred in Survival on the Mountain and The New Addams Family as a child before transitioning to philanthropy. She now advises celebrities on charitable giving.

Shauna Nep, co-executive director, treasurer, and secretary at Archewell, earned nearly $300,000 last year, making up more than 5% of the charity’s revenue.

Her salary was revealed following Archewell’s 2023 tax return, which also included a previously unreported $4 million donation. The donation had been delayed due to the charity’s tax year not aligning with that of its donors.
Along with the tax return, Archewell released its latest impact report, featuring a foreword from Nep and co-executive James Holt. The report reaffirmed the charity’s slogan, «to show up, do good,» and highlighted its mission to build «a future of purpose, belonging, and joy.»
Shauna Nep earns $51,669 more than Archewell’s president, James Holt, with a salary of $272,241 and an additional $26,356 from her health insurance plan, bringing her total earnings in 2023 to $298,597. Holt’s salary is $246,928, after a 1.6% raise of $3,878.

Nep, who joined Archewell in 2022, has quickly surpassed Holt, despite his long tenure, having worked with Prince Harry since 2017.
Nep’s sister, Elana, 43, is also an actress, known for her role in Edgemont. Shauna, after leaving acting, studied history and bioethics, earning a Master’s from NYU, where she focused on food systems and public health.
For the past decade, Shauna Nep has thrived as a philanthropic advisor, helping turn charity ideas into tangible projects.

Known for her skill in leveraging social media to advance initiatives, she currently holds multiple roles, including Vice President of philanthropy at Scooter Braun’s SB Projects and head of Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Futures Foundation.
In addition to her role at Archewell, she’s passionate about gun control, economic empowerment, and poverty alleviation. Nep frequently shares her jet-setting charity lifestyle with her 18,700 Instagram followers, recently traveling to Deià in Mallorca.
Living in Los Angeles with her husband, award-winning director Jacob Medjuck, 48, they have two children—Olive, 8, and Ruby, 4.
