Rihanna & Rocky outside Zouk nightclub in Barbados last night
On Monday, Rihanna was photographed having a good time in her home country of Barbados with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky.
Prior to her Fenty Beauty Caribbean launch party, the 36-year-old Stay hitmaker and the 36-year-old rapper partied at Zouk nightclub.
In a grey t-shirt and shorts set, Rihanna flaunted her toned legs while accessorizing with stiletto shoes.
The pair, who are parents to two-year-old RZA Athelston and one-year-old Riot Rose, went outside to get hotdogs and burgers before stopping to take pictures with Ras the Burger Guy.
Rocky has had a successful start to the week. On Tuesday, his trial for allegedly shooting plaintiff and former buddy A$AP Relli was postponed so that he could attend a benefit performance in Thailand.
Rihanna accessorized her ensemble with many gold necklaces and a Dior handbag.
She wore large sunglasses to protect her eyes and pushed her raven locks up in a stylishly disheveled updo.
Rocky, meanwhile, was dressed in pastel yellow slacks, a white t-shirt, and yellow work boots.
As they shared a bite to eat, the two of them giggled.
To help her lover, who is facing a jury trial for allegedly killing a former friend and music collaborator after an altercation, Rihanna was summoned by a Los Angeles judge to appear in criminal court on Tuesday.
At a hearing when the trial was postponed for the third time, until January, LA Superior Court Judge Mark Arnold told Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, that «she can come if she wants to.»
The court questioned Tacopina if «the mother of (Rocky’s) two children» will be present at the trial, which is anticipated to last seven to 10 days, without mentioning Rihanna by name.
She might show up for the start, but it’s unlikely that she would stay for the entire trial, Tacopina said, adding that he didn’t know if she would be in court.
Judge Arnold informed Deputy District Attorney Paul Przelomiec, the prosecution and defense attorney, that Rocky, whose true name is Rakim Mayers, shouldn’t anticipate special treatment throughout his trial.
«In this court, Mr. Mayers’ celebrity status will not matter,» he stated.
«He will receive the same treatment as everyone else.»
Rocky’s trial was postponed from November 12 to January 21 so that the defense and prosecution could gather discovery material and exchange witness names.
Considering that the trial had already been postponed twice, the court grudgingly allowed the continuance on Tuesday.
‘I want jury selection to commence on January 21.’ He cautioned both lawyers, however, that he would not put up with any further delays.
Rocky, who did not appear in court in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday, entered a not guilty plea to two charges of assault with a semiautomatic pistol.
If found guilty of both crimes, he faces a maximum sentence of eight years in prison.
Rocky and fellow rapper Terell Ephron, whose stage name is A$AP Relli and who joined Rocky in the ASAP Mob rap group that began in Harlem in 2006, got into a fight in Hollywood in November 2021, which is the basis for the allegations.
