Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have decided to part ways

The couple, who first sparked dating rumors after being seen having dinner together in Los Angeles in early December 2023, have chosen to take a break from their year-long relationship.

A source tells that the two, both focused on their careers, have agreed to step back for now. “They are both young and career-driven,” the insider shared, referring to Keoghan, 32, and Carpenter, 25.

Representatives for both stars have not responded to requests for comment as of Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan first sparked romance rumors after being seen having dinner in Los Angeles in December 2023. The two initially met during Paris Fashion Week in September, where they both attended a Givenchy show.

They supported each other publicly, with Keoghan leaving sweet comments on Carpenter’s Instagram and attending her Coachella performance in April. He also appeared in her «Please Please Please» music video in June.

In an October interview, Carpenter shared that she cast Keoghan in the video because he was «sitting right next to her» and excited about the project.

Keoghan also expressed his pride in Carpenter after she earned six Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year for «Please Please Please.» He praised her work ethic, saying, “I don’t know anyone who works as hard.”
