Honored at the star-studded event, Sean wore a classic black suit, while Valeria stunned in a flowing off-the-shoulder black gown, her sleek bun and radiant makeup channeling Old Hollywood glamour.
Sean, a close friend of Volodymyr Zelensky, president of Ukraine, Moldova’s neighboring country, appeared utterly smitten as he locked eyes with Valeria that evening.
The couple’s relationship became public in early September when they were seen sharing a passionate kiss during a romantic getaway in Madrid.
Valeria, a Chișinău native fluent in seven languages, is now based in France and has appeared in Netflix’s Emily in Paris.
Her romance with Sean follows his 2021 split from third wife Leila George, after 15 months of marriage. Sean was previously married to Madonna (1985–1989) and Robin Wright, with whom he shares two children, Dylan, 33, and Hopper, 30.
Despite a turbulent 20-year relationship ending in 2010, Sean and Robin have since built an amicable co-parenting dynamic after much effort and drama.
After his divorce from Leila, Sean was romantically linked to actresses Nathalie Kelley, 40, and Olga Korotyayeva, 44, though he hasn’t remarried.
His relationship with Valeria became public just months after he expressed contentment with single life, stating he was «thrilled every day» to be unattached and desired only a relationship that allowed personal freedom.
«I’m just free,» he told The New York Times. «If I’m in a relationship, I’ll still be free, or I won’t be in it. I’m not going to be hurting.»
In a profile with columnist Maureen Dowd, Sean confidently remarked, «I don’t think romance will ever break my heart again.»
