See What Back-up Dancers Did, When Taylor Swift’s Dress Was Unzipped During a Wardrobe Malfunction in Miami
While performing ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ on Friday night, October 18, the singer’s handmade Vivienne Westwood gown unzipped.
The dancers for Taylor Swift move quickly!
When Swift, 34, was singing her song «But Daddy I Love Him,» her white gown unexpectedly burst out in the back during her Eras Tour stop in Miami on Friday night, October 18.
The music icon was only starting the song, which is off her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, when her bespoke Vivienne Westwood gown unzipped, according to the Miami Herald’s event report.
Two of Swift’s dancers can be seen launching into action and assisting her in zipping up the dress so she may resume her performance in a video that a fan posted on social media.
According to a recent Teen Vogue article, Swift’s Vivienne Westwood ensemble, which she dons for her performances of The Tortured Poets Department, consists of a sleeveless ball gown silhouette with a peekaboo skirt and a corseted bodice.
A black cursive script repeats a line from «Fortnight» across the dress, while Swift’s black bodysuit underneath facilitates her transition into her circus-inspired ensemble for the song «I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.»
The singer of «Karma» also unveiled a new costume on Friday night, which instantly led fans to speculate that Taylor’s version of Reputation would be coming soon.
During the Reputation-era segment of her act, the 14-time Grammy winner appeared wearing a brand-new Roberto Cavalli catsuit.
According to performance images, the one-legged costume featured entwined snakes, but this time they were in gold instead of red.
During her Reputation Stadium Tour, Swift’s go-to outfit was a bodysuit.
Fans also conjectured that Reputation, which made extensive use of snake imagery, may be on the horizon because one snake formed the shape of the number two on the back of the new catsuit.
Swift delighted fans at her Miami gig on Friday by inviting her friend and colleague Florence Welch to sing their song «Florida!!!» onstage.
According to fan-recorded video, Welch, 38, and Swift shared a tender moment at the end of their performance when he held Swift’s head before giving her a hug.
«FLORIDA! In a video that was uploaded to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, October 19, Welch said, «Thank you so much for having me @TaylorSwift.»
On Friday night, Welch wasn’t the only well-known person there.
While Hoda Kotb, Jenna Bush Hager, and Savannah Guthrie enjoyed a night out with their families as Today coworkers, Tom Brady, Serena Williams, and other celebrities were there.
Jason Kelce, a former Philadelphia Eagle, and his wife Kylie also attended the concert with their mother, Donna Kelce, and their two oldest girls, Wyatt, age five, and Elliotte, age three.
Swift will continue her record-breaking Eras Tour, which began in March 2023, by visiting New Orleans, Indianapolis, and then Canada following her three-night stay in Miami.
