Selena Gomez revealed the kind gesture she got in response to her Emmy nomination
Steve Martin and Martin Short found a way to celebrate Selena Gomez’s Emmy nomination from afar!
The 32-year-old actress revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that she received a sweet gift from her costars after being nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Only Murders in the Building last month.
“I received flowers from Martin Short and Steve Martin,” she said. “I’m in L.A., Marty’s always all over the world, and Steve is in New York. So, obviously, we can’t be together, but we’ll celebrate when we get back together again.”
Gomez called the nomination “crazy,” saying, “I was just honored to be on such a show that was recognized.
I feel so lucky, because there are so many great shows, and to even be considered, to have an opportunity like this, is such an honor.”
“In my mind, I feel like I already won,” she added.
Last month, Gomez posted a sweet photo of her with Martin, 78, and Short, 74, on Instagram as she reflected on her time with her Only Murders in the Building costars, days ahead of her 32nd birthday.
Gomez — who turned 32 on July 22 — wrote in the caption: “Upon reflection, I realize with my birthday coming up, 32,
I am so grateful that I have been surrounded by human beings that make me better, challenge me, remind me day after day that every moment is a gift.”
“That’s my pure joy. I thank god for the era I’m in. It’s been the best yet 🤓,” she added.
