Selena Gomez shares how Meryl Streep inspired her on the set of ‘Only Murders in the Building’

Selena Gomez attests to Meryl Streep’s leadership on set.
Gomez, 32, has been outspoken about how difficult it is to work with such a legendary actress since Streep, 75, joined Only Murders in the Building last year.
She even went so far as to acknowledge that she «barely spoke» on Streep’s first day on production.
She’s now thinking back on another special encounter with the actress, whose professionalism she described to ELLE as admirable.
«I recall wanting to film Meryl Streep’s side while we were on site so she could go home and take the following day off.
«Wait, no, why aren’t we turning around?» she said at the conclusion of the day. «Oh, we’ll do that tomorrow,» they said.
‘No, no, I have to come in, I should be here for them,’ she replied, Gomez added.
«It was so classy and showed that she really still loved the craft and that she wanted to be there for us too,» Gomez said.
The Rare Beauty tycoon went on, «I’ll never forget her being barefoot, singing on set, just loving what she’s doing.» «I want that spirit, I want to always love what I do and be there for people.»
While filming the Hulu series, Gomez has already raved about how fortunate she is to see Streep do her thing.
She claimed to be «just admiring her» when Streep debuted in season three, according to The Hollywood Reporter. «I’ve learned so much from her just by her being Meryl.»
«She’s an inspiration and she’s someone who is incredibly talented while being very humble, and professional and kind,» she stated.
Gomez said it as a «favorite moment» from her time on the program, and seeing Streep, who plays Broadway icon Loretta Durkin, sing was especially unforgettable.
«Watching Meryl sing live was my favorite part of the experience. Every time she sang it live and a capella, I would cry. «Even though I wasn’t in the scene, I was sitting in the audience and I was moved to tears,» she told the site.
«It’s amazing how dedicated she is to her craft in every manner. It was lovely.
