Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce inspire new Lifetime holiday movie «Christmas in the Spotlight»

The Christmas film follows a football player and a pop singer as they work out their newfound romance in the spotlight.

A new holiday movie is based on the love between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce!

As with Swift, 34, and Kelce, 35, Lifetime just unveiled the teaser for their holiday romance film, Christmas in the Spotlight, which follows a pop singer and a football player as they negotiate their newfound romance in the midst of their popularity.

There are various similarities to the well-known pair in the official synopsis and the trailer, even if the network has not acknowledged that the upcoming movie was influenced by the celebrity relationship.

The official one-minute teaser begins with Jessica Lord’s character, blonde popstar Bowyn, dancing on a stage while wearing a glittery outfit. In the meantime, Drew (Laith Wallschleger), a professional football player, is in the crowd with his niece, who pushes him to date the singer.

After connecting and going on a date, the two decide to formally announce their relationship.

Drew tells Bowyn, «I know we’re trying to keep this a secret, but I don’t know if I can keep this up,» at one point.

Bowyn’s lamentations about wanting to be a «normal girl dating a normal guy» appear to end the drama, though, as the two decide to give their relationship a chance at fame.

«Are we doing this?» In the trailer, Bowyn says, «Let’s freaking go!» in response to Drew’s question.

On social media, a few astute fans noticed a secret Swift allusion in the trailer: Drew’s football number is 13, which is also the real-life singer’s lucky number.

Beginning on Saturday, November 16, the film will be a part of the network’s «It’s a Wonderful Lifetime» program.

The movie «follows Bowyn, a well-known musician and celebrity, who hasn’t found Mr. Right yet despite always singing about love and relationships,» according to the official synopsis.

Dating is practically difficult for her due to her reputation and hectic recording schedule, but she and Drew, a professional football player, click right away when they meet backstage at her concert with his niece.

However, because of their notoriety, their relationship is not simple.

They deal with issues like their «hectic schedules» and «people questioning if their feelings for each other are real or just for show» as they become closer.

«The pair has until the end of the holiday season to decide if they want to stay together, or let it go down in flames,» it’s going on.

Lifetime’s Christmas in the Spotlight will debut on Saturday, November 23 at 8 p.m.
