Taylor Swift thanks Brittany Mahomes for keeping her calm during the Chiefs’ playoff run as they celebrate a Super Bowl spot

«My heart was in my throat,» Taylor Swift admitted after the Chiefs secured the AFC Championship victory. Brittany Mahomes may have told the singer to take a breather during the tense NFL playoffs.

After the Kansas City Chiefs’ win that earned them a spot in the Super Bowl, Swift, 35, and Brittany, 29, shared a touching moment on the field, talking about the stress of the postseason.

While Brittany celebrated her husband Patrick Mahomes’ fifth Super Bowl appearance, Swift, the «Cruel Summer» artist, was there to cheer on tight end Travis Kelce.

In a video shared on X, the 14-time Grammy winner was seen hugging Brittany, singing along to The Bee Gees’ «Get Down Tonight,» and exchanging compliments about their outfits.

«You kept me so calm the last couple of weeks,» Swift told Brittany, standing alongside Travis’ mom Donna. She recalled feeling uncertain and how Brittany reassured her by texting, «It’s gonna be okay.»

Later in the clip, Brittany said, «What a game,» reflecting on the intense moments of the match.

Swift shared, «My heart was in my throat,» reflecting on the Chiefs’ nail-biting victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Brittany, who had just welcomed her third child earlier that month, responded, «I was literally up there pumping, stressing.»

Near the end of the video, Travis, 35, joked with his mom, saying he «owns New Orleans,» where this year’s Super Bowl will be held, and revealed plans to celebrate that night.

«We’ll be having a bunch of fun tonight,» he added. The Chiefs secured a 32-29 victory over the Bills, with a dramatic three-point field goal in the final moments of the fourth quarter.

On Sunday, Feb. 9, the Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, marking a rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl.
