Victoria Monét’s 3-year-old daughter, Hazel, may have just shown off the vocal chops to become the next Elphaba.
On January 20, Hazel’s father, John Gaines, shared a TikTok video of their daughter hitting the high notes from *Wicked*’s iconic «Defying Gravity.»
After Gaines encouraged her with a playful «hit it baby,» Hazel confidently belted out the famous run from the song’s finale.
Gaines captioned the video with, “If you ever hear this in public just know we are close by,» and added, «She kinda hit that tho 👀 lol.» It’s clear that Hazel has a strong connection to the Broadway musical-turned-movie franchise.
In November 2024, she joined Monét at the *Wicked* premiere in Los Angeles, where the two shared an adorable moment in matching pink outfits, with Hazel enjoying the film in its entirety.
Monét gushed over the movie in an Instagram post, sharing how amazed she and Hazel were by the production.
«What a CLASSIC!!! What a CAST!!! It is absolutely incredible—we are obsessed!» she wrote.
