Kate Middleton Offers to Share Her Jam Recipe with Aspiring Young Gardeners During Food-Themed Visit to Wales
On Wednesday, February 26, Prince William and Kate Middleton traveled to Pontypridd in South Wales ahead of the St. David’s Day celebration on March 1.
During their visit to the Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland, Princess Kate was introduced to a group of young gardeners busy harvesting plums for jam-making.

«I’ll send you my recipe so you can give it a try,» she kindly offered, as reported by Hello!
The Princess of Wales also shared her growing interest in foraging, revealing that her children—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—were particularly intrigued by a giant puffball mushroom she recently discovered.
«The children thought it was absolutely fascinating,» she said.

Princess Kate’s love for jam isn’t unique to her. Last April, Meghan Markle shared jars of strawberry jam with close friends like Mindy Kaling, Chrissy Teigen, and Kris Jenner as part of her upcoming lifestyle brand.
Meghan later announced a rebrand of her American Riviera Orchard brand, renaming it «As Ever.»
However, she assured fans that her jam would still be a key offering, saying in an Instagram video, «Jam is my jam.»

During their Wales trip, Kate and William also visited The Welsh Cake Shop, where they learned how to make traditional Welsh cakes.
They also met local business owners, many of whom are still recovering from the devastation caused by Storm Bert and Storm Darragh in November and December.

Theresa Conner, the owner of The Welsh Cake Shop, expressed her gratitude for the royal visit, telling, «It’s lovely and an honor for Pontypridd to have a visit.
For them to come and see us will really help boost the morale in the town and raise our profile.»
