According to a source, the proposal has left the Only Murders in the Building actress «radiating with happiness.»
The insider reveals, «They’re incredibly supportive of one another. He truly wants the best for her, and she feels the same way about him. They’re a perfect match, without a doubt.»
Benny Blanco, 36, proposed to Selena Gomez, 32, with a Taco Bell picnic after dating for a year and a half. Gomez shared the news of their engagement the same day, posting a photo of her stunning diamond ring on Instagram.
“Forever begins now…” she wrote in the caption, while Blanco commented, “hey wait… that’s my wife.”
Gomez, who recently earned two Golden Globe nominations for Only Murders in the Building and Emilia Pérez, also posted an adorable video on her Instagram Stories, showing off her new ring during a FaceTime call.
“I said yes to this!” she says, as the person on the other end excitedly screams, “It’s so pretty.”
A-list friends joined in the celebration of Selena Gomez’s engagement, with Taylor Swift joking in the comments, “Yes I will be the flower girl.”
Gomez and Benny Blanco began dating in June 2023 after collaborating on the 2019 single “I Can’t Get Enough.” Blanco produced Gomez’s August hit «Single Soon,» and she confirmed their relationship four months later, calling him her «absolute everything.»
The couple made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Emmys, and Gomez later shared that she felt «the safest» she’s ever been in a relationship with him.
In November, Blanco opened up about their relationship, saying mornings with Gomez were his favorite time together. “It’s like our moment before the rest of the world wakes up,” he said, adding that every day with her is the “best day” of his life.
